What is the Phonak Virto Infinio I-90 Titanium IIC Hearing Aid?
The Phonak Virto Infinio I‑90 Titanium is a premium, custom-made invisible-in-canal hearing aid. Each device is manufactured according to the shape of the wearer’s ear canal, allowing it to sit deeply and discreetly in the ear.
It is built on Phonak’s Infinio platform and is intended for people with mild to severe hearing loss who want a small custom hearing aid without Bluetooth streaming.
The I‑90 is Phonak’s premium technology level and includes automatic sound processing for different everyday listening environments.

Why Consider a Titanium IIC Hearing Aid?
Most custom hearing aid shells are made from acrylic. The Phonak Virto Infinio I‑90 Titanium uses medical-grade titanium instead.
Titanium provides a strong and durable shell while allowing the shell walls to be made thinner. Depending on the individual’s ear anatomy and hearing loss, this may help Phonak produce a smaller and more discreet custom fit.
The device is also rated IP68 for resistance to water and dust. This does not make it waterproof, so it should still be removed before swimming, showering or bathing.
Is the Phonak Virto Infinio I-90 Titanium IIC Rechargeable?
No. The Virto Infinio I‑90 Titanium uses a disposable size 10 hearing aid battery.
Phonak offers other Virto Infinio models with rechargeable technology, but those models are larger and are not the same titanium IIC design. The titanium model is intended for wearers who place the greatest priority on discretion.
Does the Phonak Virto Infinio Titanium have Bluetooth?
No. The Phonak Virto Infinio I‑90 Titanium is a non-wireless hearing aid and does not connect directly to a smartphone for calls, music or app-based adjustments.
This is an important distinction because the Virto Infinio family includes both wireless and non-wireless models. The larger rechargeable Virto R Infinio supports Bluetooth, but the smaller Virto I‑Titanium does not.
People who want an in-ear appearance with Bluetooth may also consider newer instant-fit devices such as the Oticon Zeal. However, this style is larger and more visible than a custom IIC hearing aid.
Does it Have a Push Button?
A push button is available as an option on the Phonak Virto Infinio Titanium. It can be configured by the hearing care professional to control hearing aid volume or change listening programs.
Because every Virto Titanium is custom made, the final size and available physical options can depend on the wearer’s ear canal anatomy, receiver requirements and venting needs.
Can the Push Button Adjust the Volume?
Yes. When configured for volume control, the push button can move through several volume steps.
The exact operation is selected during programming. Depending on the chosen configuration, repeated button presses may cycle through the available volume range. Your hearing care professional can explain the alerts or tones you will hear at each step.
Because the Virto Infinio Titanium is non-wireless, the two hearing aids do not communicate with one another. A button press on one hearing aid will not automatically change the other hearing aid.
The controls may instead be configured so that each side is adjusted separately or one side performs a different function from the other.
Can it change listening programs?
Yes. The optional push button can be programmed to cycle through manual listening programs.
The hearing aids already make automatic adjustments as the listening environment changes. However, manual programs may be added for specific situations based on the wearer’s needs and preferences.
Will a new hearing aid brand sound different?
It may.
Every hearing aid manufacturer uses its own sound-processing approach. An experienced IIC wearer may initially notice that a Phonak hearing aid sounds different from their current devices, even when both have been programmed for the same hearing loss.
That does not necessarily mean one sound is better. The fitting, verification and follow-up adjustments have a major effect on the final result. Experienced hearing aid wearers may also need a short period to become accustomed to a new manufacturer’s sound.
A current hearing test and in-person consultation can help determine which IIC hearing aid is most appropriate.
What are the Available Warranty Options?
Omni Hearing offers both three-year and five-year manufacturer repair warranty options for the Phonak Virto Infinio I‑90 Titanium.
With the five-year option, the standard three-year manufacturer repair warranty is extended through Omni Hearing. Eligible repairs continue to be completed through Phonak for a total of five years. This is manufacturer repair coverage arranged through Omni Hearing, not an in-house repair plan.
Warranty terms, loss and damage coverage and exclusions should be reviewed before purchasing.
Can the Hearing Aids be Repaired While Travelling in Canada?
Phonak warranty records are connected to the hearing aids’ serial numbers. If a repair is required while the wearer is away from the Greater Toronto Area, another authorized Phonak hearing clinic may be able to verify the manufacturer warranty and send the device to Phonak.
The clinic should be contacted first because individual clinics may have their own appointment, handling or service policies. Routine programming and adjustments are separate from manufacturer repair coverage and may involve a local service fee.
